Technology:
The OP Mainnet was built by OP Labs and runs on the OP Stack. The OP Stack also allows for easy integration with other chains in the Superchain, promoting interoperability and a seamless user experience.
Governance:
Governance on OP Mainnet is managed by the Optimism Collective, which includes two houses: the Token House and the Citizens' House. This structure ensures decentralized and transparent decision-making. The Token House, comprised of OP token holders, and the Citizens' House, made up of active community members, work together to propose, vote on, and implement network upgrades and policies.
