Project Description

Mode Network (website), built on the OP Stack, is a unique Layer 2 Blockchain tailored for growth. While still in its testnet phase, Mode emphasizes a growth-centric approach, rewarding developers, users, and protocols. The platform integrates leading web3 tools and offers features like Contract Secured Revenue and Referral Revenue. Although currently developed by a centralized team, the project's structure may evolve as it progresses. The network integrates tools such as Spindl and Guild and hosts projects like Mode Bridge and Thirdweb. While there's no official token, there's community speculation about a potential airdrop. Mode's vision is community-driven growth, with plans for an inclusive governance structure in the future.

Purpose of the Chain

This L2 is designed to incentivize and reward developers, users, and protocols, fostering the expansion of Mode and the broader Superchain ecosystem. Mode's uniqueness stems from its growth-centric approach to product development and its mechanisms that reward all ecosystem participants. While still in its testnet phase, Mode is set to introduce features like Contract Secured Revenue, Referral Revenue, and a project growth dashboard integrated with leading web3 tools.

Organisational Structure

Mode Network is currently in its early stages, with its development spearheaded by a centralized team. This structure, however, might undergo changes in the future as the project evolves. The platform is designed as an Ethereum L2, aiming to foster growth for both builders and users in tandem with the network's expansion. Mode emphasizes community-driven growth, offering features like lifetime fee sharing and fair reward distributions.

Projects built on

Mode Network is actively expanding its ecosystem with a variety of tools and projects. Currently integrated into the Mode Dashboard are tools like Spindl, a web3 analytics tool, Guild for automated community management, Addressable for launching web3 advertising campaigns, Galxe for building Web3 communities, JokeRace for governance participation, 3RM as a web3 CRM, and Quest Terminal for targeted micro airdrops. These integrations aim to provide developers with the necessary distribution channels and insights to scale their on-chain businesses effectively. As for projects, those already deployed to the testnet include Mode Bridge, Thirdweb, Pyth, and Blockscout. Projects in progress encompass Hyperlane, Covalent, and Snapshop, while upcoming additions feature Connext, The Graph, Aori, and several others. It's essential to note that while these developments are promising, the Mode Network is still in its early stages, and changes might occur as it evolves.

Governance

Currently, Mode Network does not have a governance structure in place. However, indications from their developer fee-sharing approach suggest that they are leaning towards establishing an inclusive governance structure in the future. This approach emphasizes community-driven growth, with mechanisms like sequencer fee sharing for developers who deploy applications that contribute to the network's growth. Mode's vision is to foster cooperation and reward contributions, ensuring that as the network grows, its builders and users grow with it.

Tokenomics

As of now, Mode Network does not have a token associated with it. While there's no official confirmation, there is speculation in the community about a potential airdrop in the future. However, it's essential to approach such rumors with caution, as they are based on pure speculation and not on any concrete information from Mode Network.
