The OP Stack accounts for 54.3% of all Layer 2 transactions. This last week, the Superchain saw on average 9.6M daily transactions and 48.2% of all Layer 2 transactions. The network boasts over 2,988 revenue-generating deployers, contributing to the Optimism Collective. To date, 16.4K ETH has been contributed to the Optimism Collective—Data Fetched from the Superchain Health Dashboard.

Super Accounts

To accelerate meaningful contributions across the Superchain, the Superchain Eco team has developed Super Accounts, Superchain native-smart accounts powered by Safe that allow users to earn Superchain Points for meaningful onchain participation, increase their Superchain Rank, and evolve their Account to unlock special perks, such as access to a weekly Superchain Raffle and discounts in applications.

Optimism Retro Funding 2025

Retro Funding 2025 aims to refine the Optimism Collective's Retroactive Public Goods Funding program, improving its ability to fairly and consistently reward impactful contributions across the Superchain. Key updates include:

  • Continuous Rewards: Transitioning from annual rounds to ongoing evaluations and regular rewards, providing builders with consistent and predictable incentives.
  • Metrics-Driven Evaluations: Combining onchain metrics with expert feedback to ensure accurate and fair impact assessments.
  • Focused Scope: Prioritizing Dev Tooling, Onchain Builders, and OP Stack Contributions to align with the Collective’s goals for 2025, including fostering cross-chain activity and supporting Ethereum Core Development.

Swan Chain Celestial Bloom

Swan Chain has launched Celestial Bloom, a six-month campaign designed to accelerate network growth and community engagement. Running from November 26, 2024, this initiative rewards participants with 1M $SWAN and 150K $OP tokens for meeting key milestones, such as achieving specific Total Value Locked (TVL) thresholds.

Mint Blockchain has partnered with RedotPay to enhance crypto adoption through the creation of a PayFi network. This initiative integrates RedotPay’s crypto payment technology into Mint’s ecosystem, allowing users to spend cryptocurrency as easily as fiat across 44 million merchants worldwide.

New World ID Credentials

The World ID Passport Credential pilot is now live in Chile, Colombia, Malaysia, and South Korea, allowing users to link NFC-enabled passports to their World ID. Optimism Governance S7 Representative Structures

Season 7 of the Optimism Collective brings updates to its representative structures, focusing on governance efficiency and alignment with seasonal goals. The Grants Council gains flexibility to issue grants across the Superchain, while the new Milestones and Metrics Council will handle impact measurement and grant distribution independently.

The Security Council remains an executive body, with future plans to transition to non-elected roles. The Code of Conduct Council faces potential dissolution, with its functions shifting to non-elected contributors, and the Developer Advisory Board takes on expanded duties, including advising on protocol upgrades.
