At its core, Talent Protocol combines ecosystem apps, a hybrid data system, and the $TALENT token to create a streamlined reputation system. Its Talent Passport app and other 3rd-party applications gather trustworthy, verified data about users’ skills and achievements, while the protocol’s smart contracts and Talent API allow seamless, reliable access to this information.

Talent Protocol’s vision is to make professional reputations both visible and verifiable, so that anyone—whether in tech, finance, or creative industries—can easily identify, support, and reward talent. By putting reputation data onchain, Talent Protocol offers a more efficient alternative to traditional resumes and fragmented online profiles, with open, interoperable data that enhances credibility and reduces reliance on lengthy hiring steps. The Evolution of Talent Protocol 

Talent Protocol was founded in 2021 to address the challenge of talent recognition in a fragmented digital landscape. Over the last 3 years, Talent Protocols has steadily innovated to achieve its current position. Today, over 1M Talent Passports were minted. Talent Protocol first aimed to create a collaborative ecosystem where users could support emerging talent through onchain career tokens.

The platform's journey began with Talent Tokens, which enabled users to tokenize their careers and allow others to invest directly in their growth. As it progressed, Talent Protocol introduced the Talent Playground app, a tool for users to showcase their skills and achievements, and later, Talent Protocol V2, which featured the Talent Passport. This passport consolidates scattered data, such as accomplishments, contributions, and endorsements, to create a real-time, reliable, and comprehensive view of a person's professional reputation.

The total supply of $TALENT is fixed at 600 million tokens. The distribution is designed to balance ecosystem growth with rewards for early contributors. 

  • Core Team and Contributors:  29.2% of the total supply is set aside for Talent Protocol’s core team, contributors and advisors, vested over a period of 3 years.
  • Ecosystem Incentives: 28.3% of the supply, allocated to initiatives that incentivize sustainable growth.
  • Early Investors: 21.3% of the supply has been allocated to early-stage investors
  • Liquidity: 13.3% of the supply is reserve for providing liquidity on centralized and decentralized exchanges. 
  • Reserve: 7.9% of the supply is allocated to the protocol’s treasury for future development and strategic partnerships
