Lisk DAO Season 1 is live until June 11, 2025, running alongside Optimism’s Season 7. The program is built around the theme “A Foundation for Real-World Acceleration”. It focuses on funding developers, driving network usage, and strengthening Lisk’s role in the Superchain through transparent, incentive-driven governance.
The LiskDAO Intents
Season 1 is structured around five key goals, each designed to deliver measurable progress across governance, adoption, and onchain activity:
- Make Lisk DAO engaging and rewarding: Increase participation in governance, improve transparency around funding decisions, and educate the community about Layer 2 economics.
- Accelerate builders and programs: Provide grants to developers building new tools, apps, or infrastructure that serve the Lisk ecosystem.
- Grow Total Value Locked (TVL): Expand liquidity and usage of the network by encouraging adoption of non-LSK assets.
- Strengthen Lisk’s Superchain contribution: Boost cross-chain activity and increase revenue shared with the Optimism Collective.
- Inform the LSK token burn vote: Publish clear, data-backed reports mid-season and post-season to guide informed community decisions.
How It Operates
Season 1 is governed by two dedicated councils that ensure funding is well-spent and outcomes are transparent:
- LiskDAO Grants Council: Allocates funding for Builder Grants and Ecosystem Incentives. Projects can receive up to 75,000 LSK based on milestones and impact.
- LiskDAO Steering Committee: Tracks the success of funded projects, publishes transparent reports, and enforces accountability across the season.
With a total budget of 3.65 million LSK, over 95% of funds go directly to developers, dApps, and ecosystem initiatives. All allocations are secured through a multi-signature safe, ensuring community control and trust.
